National City is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and National City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Recently took my transmission here. Was super fast, half the price of AAMCO, and they went above and beyond on the work. I took it here to replace a bearing and told them theres a grind on 4th, they swapped the bearing and fixed the syncro. Amazing customer service and great people. Look better then new when i got it back.

Had a horrible experience there, not only did the week long job take 53 days long and multiple trips back to the shop for leaks and other issues, the price changed 5 plus times and I ended up paying 1000 over the initial price and tge truck is still messed up. Would highly recommend taking to a more reputable shop to get it done right for the same price.

Rafa was very kind and gracious, he was willing to get me in spur of the moment to take a look at my truck transmission after I hauled my travel trailer from Colorado to San Diego for vacation. When it turned out to be an engine misfire issue, he was very honest and accommodating instead of charging me for unneeded work. I highly recommend getting his opinion on your transmission first, his integrity is rare and priceless.

So apparently the extended service warranty purchased. This is the only in network transmission shop mechanic that I can go to. I have taken my Vehicle in To have it transmission, Inspected for problems I have not been turned away twice with them telling me that this is all normal. I am posting these pictures four days after picking my vehicle up. This might be a different story if youβre paying customer, but the treatment I have received is damn near criminal.

I was charged $3200+ and the problem with the car remains unfixed. Initially I was quoted ~$2500-$3200 which seemed comparable to other shops for a transmission repair. After about two weeks I was told the work was done. The mechanic told me the transmission, brakes and steering were "green, green, green" and that he wouldn't let a car out of his shop that wasn't in good repair. I paid a few dollars less than the upper end of the quote and drove the car home. Now, less than a week later I am experiencing the same problem I was before taking it to Turbo Transmission. Given I was also assured of the good repair of the brakes and other systems alongside the transmission I am now less confident in those as well. I do not believe the work was good, and, I cannot recommend these mechanics. My only question now is are these mechanics incompetent or dishonest. Go somewhere else that can do it right the first time.
